Studies have shown that myopia is mainly caused by over-work, inadequacy of light, and incorrectness of positions when we read. But despite all these factors, still one can't be neglected. That is your diets play an eminent role in depending whether you will develop myopia all not.

Deficiency of calcium can make your eyes feel tired easily. As is known to us all, calcium is the one of the dispensable elements for our body. Not only the skeletal systems need it, but also many other body systems such as nerve, muscle, blood and so on. It is important for our eyes as deficiency of calcium can lead to reduced flexibility in the eye wall, and the fatigue of eye muscle. Thus myopia is caused. Experts have pointed out that pregnant women that lack calcium give birth to children who may develop myopia 3 times more than those who don't lack calcium. Henceforth, to give your children enough calcium, pregnant women should eat dried small shrimps, fungus, adequate calcium supplements, and cod liver oil, and enjoy more sun.

ersity prospered that chromium also makes effects. Chromium in the human body combines with myosin and the mixture is necessary for normal metabolism. In sugar and fat metabolism in the digestive process, the chromium plays an important role in helping human pancreatic islet to emit insulin secretion. The element mainly exists in coarse grains, brown sugar, pulses, vegetables, and fruits. If people don't eat coarse grains, they may lack chromium. Lack of chromium can cause changes in blood osmotic pressure, which leads to the changes of eye lens and the changes in aqueous osmotic pressure. Crystalline lens bulge and the diopter of eyes will increase. Then myopia is caused.

Last but not least, eating habits account. Here are some tips for good cultivation of good eating habits. Firstly, eating three meals slowly helps the digestion and absorption of food. Secondly, eat less sweets and chocolate, eat more vegetables, fruits, fish and shrimp, chicken, mushrooms, coarse grains, and make the mixture of your food reasonably.
