The maine reason men want to build muscles is to impress their girlfriends. If there were no women in this world, there would be no motivation to gain muscle. But man can't build muscle on motivation alone. Man needs the proper knowledge, workout program, and nutrition to build muscle.

Hard gainers are always looking for miracle supplements. In reality, out of all the supplements, only three percent of them actually help. Whey protein is one of the three percent of supplements. One gram of protein should be taken per pound of body weight, and with plenty of water. The other two percent of supplements could be discussed, but what you need all depends on your deficiencies. It is more important to have a balanced nutritional diet. Men working out should eat five to six small balanced meals a day. If you eat balanced meals, you shouldn't have to take a multi-vitamin. But if your not getting a sufficient amount of sun, you might need to take vitamin D.

Most hard gainers think working out for long periods of time will help them grow muscle faster. This is false, and can defeat the purpose. Professional trainers suggest working out for no longer than forty-five minutes per workout session. This time limit is more effective for muscle growth. It is also very important to get the proper amount of rest and recuperation. Your muscles actually grow while you are recuperating. You should rest the muscle group you have worked at least one day.

There are a lot of different ways to gain muscle, but what works all depends on the individuals body make up, and the period of time the individual has been working out. Men beginning to lift weights usually make the mistake of doing to many sets and reps. Remember to start slow and gradually increase your workout intensity.
