Every one in this world wants to live as long as possible, health permitting. This means that health is the most important thing on Earth though at times we tend to forget that and look for all other things except health, in the present materialistic world. To be healthy, we have to follow certain basic principles only. The reason for the deteriorating health in the whole World stems from the fact that we have ignored Nature. Human beings started to lose their health the day FIRE was invented. Worse emerged later when we resorted to Chemical fertilizers and pesticides which ruin our system. We further stooped down to the level of storing cooked food in refrigerators to be consumed later by reheating. All these put together caused severe damaged to all the cells of our body, thus producing various kinds of diseases which our forefathers never even imagined. The damages caused so far has almost gone beyond repairable levels. Such is the devastation done that it can be even compared to severe war damaging a country. Now, what can be done to reverse the rot set in? Is it ever possible to live a life bereft of diseases? Some light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, if we surrender ourselves to Mother Nature, human beings can be saved.

First of all, let us understand that we have to simply make some little adjustments to our lifestyle. It may sound difficult, but practice has always made us perfect. All that is required is the will to make this happen and after all it is only for our wellbeing.[new-page] Start the day with a cup of Green tea. GT is a top class anti-oxidant and has properties which will help us slowing the aging factor. No sugar or milk should be added to that. Of course the taste of it may not be the best but consider the medicinal value of the product. Anyhow, for those who cannot take it, GT in the capsule form is available which can betaken twice or thrice in a day. This will almost insure you from the modern day dreaded diseases like cancer, heart attacks, diabetes and the like. Chinese and Japanese people will vouch for that.

Next in the list is dry fruits. A handful of nuts like akroot, apricot, b
adham, cashew, dates, dry grapes, fig, pista etc., will provide a lot of vital ingredients to our cells. A couple of slices of whole wheat bread or any other light food will make a healthy breakfast.

Lunch must contain a fair amount of vegetables. 30% of the total lunch should be greens and leafy vegetables. Another 30% should go for fresh vegetables most of which must be fibrous in nature. Balance 30% will form part of food made out of whole wheat or unpolished rice. Cereals must be added and the best part of it must be sprouted cereals which has immense potential to improve our system.

Night food must contain lot of fresh fruits and raw vegetables. Other food such as rice or wheat should be kept at minimum levels. Most important thing is all the products be it rice, wheat or vegetables/fruits must be ORGANICALLY grown. Never bother about the cost of the products. It may be higher than what is available in the market, but the benefits derived will be far greater than the incremental cost involved.

[new-page] Avoid bad habits like smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs etc., and make a habit of keeping busy, doing simple exercises, yoga and meditation very little watching Television will go a long way towards enhanced health. Keep life simple, contended, maintaining cordial relationships and developing a sense of humour which others too enjoy without hurting others are godly qualities which one should imbibe. As far as possible avoid Non-vegetarian, oily, masala, spicy food as these have only taste and nothing else. In fact it spoils our health.

Last, but not the least is the intake of natural anti oxidants, detoxifiers and immune boosters which are of ORGANIC nature. This coupled with a simple deep breathing exercise in the morning at 4 a.m for 15 minutes,at which time the air will be full of oxygen, pure and unpolluted, will keep us fresh always. Atleast 7 hours of good sleep preferably from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. is another must.

Follow these principles and we will be doing a great service for ourselves, apart from making our off springs and the generations thereafter to be healthy. Let us hope the society will resort to natural means thus enhancing health. In fact this kind of diet will make everyone feel happy thus making the whole World remain in PEACE.

I think all of us need to revisit how important it is to capture and hold on to our youth by staying health conscious.

I am definetly going to follow that sleep and exercise schedule. I am curious about how the air is less pollutant at 4am though?

good article. Basically we need 3 things to be happy and healthy :
1. well balanced and varied diet.
2. exercise.
3 correct mental attitude.
With these 3 in tow you cannot go wrong even if you wanted to!
